Military attaches from abroad got familiarized with the state of affairs in the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

On the first day of bilateral exercises of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Naval Forces of the United States, the Sea Breeze-2014", which is aimed at exercising an international operation on safeguarding maritime security in the crisis area, the commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vice-Admiral Serhii Hayduk held an introductory conference for the foreign military attachés.

The meeting with military representatives of France, Romania, South Korea, Algeria, Georgia, Lithuania, the U.S.A. and Austria took place on the Western naval base of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the process of communication with the military attachés Vice-Admiral Serhii Hayduk informed that after the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation and the relocation to the mainland the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine rapidly regained their combat efficiency, and also managed in brief terms to hold their realignment and establish coordination among the divisions, units and crews of the ships.

"After completion and proper training the Ukrainian Naval Forces began to perform the assigned tasks,” explained the commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, the divisions of coastal defense of the NF fulfil the duties of protection of important sites and serve at checkpoints. In cooperation with the maritime border guard the forces of the national military fleet defend the south-western part of the Black Sea and the Danube river".

Moreover, according to Vice-Admiral Serhii Hayduk, today there is held an intense military activity of certain divisions and units of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
