the support of the absolute majority of our partners in the Arab world in these
difficult and dangerous times," stated Minister of Foreign Affairs of
Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin during a meeting September 15, 2014,
with 11 ambassadors of Arab countries, those accredited in Kiev (Algeria,
Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, UAE, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Sudan).
The Foreign Minister
expressed his gratitude for the support of the territorial integrity and
sovereignty of Ukraine both in the framework of international organizations and
at bilateral level.
Pavlo Klimkin has announced that the Ukrainian side is seeking to
strengthen and improve the cooperation level with the Arab countries. In this regard
he has noted that Ukraine is interested in drawing additional investments from
the Middle East and North Africa.
The Minister informed
that targeting to facilitate interpersonal contacts now an opportunity is considered
with certain Arab countries to simplify visa requirements. Moreover, the
Minister told the assembly that the President of Ukraine plans to appoint ambassadors
in a number of Arab States in the near future.
During the meeting the
interlocutors also exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East.
