IAEA General Conference commenced on Monday, 22 September
2014 at the Agency's headquarters in Vienna, Austria.

Member States, including several at the ministerial level, are gathered to consider
and discuss a range of topics on the peaceful development of nuclear
technologies, the major developments and
achievements in the IAEA's work and programme for the previous year, and identify priorities in
the year to come.
Ukraine during the Conference will be represented by a government delegation led by Chairman of the State Nuclear Regulatory Committee Serhiy Bozhko. The delegation also includes Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Vadym Ulyda, Head of the State Agency on the Exclusion Zone Management Volodymyr Holosha, top managers and experts of Energoatom and other officials.

events during the General Conference was a meeting of the Ukraine’s delegation with American Secretary of Energy E. Moniz. The Secretary of Energy expressed his full support to Ukraine and willingness to help solve urgent energy issues taking into account the difficult security situation in eastern Ukraine and the temporary annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation. discussed the diversification of nuclear fuel supply for power plants of
construction of storage
facilities for storage of spent nuclear fuel (SNFS-2) at the Chernobyl NPP, modernization of physical
protection of nuclear
facilities, security aspects of ionizing radiation in the light of the new challenges Ukraine faces.
