PM receives a delegation of MEPs from the EPP

On Thursday, October 16, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk received a delegation of MEPs from the group of the European People's Party, led by Sandra Kalniete, who arrived in Ukraine in the framework of preparation for observation for the pre-term parliamentary elections.

The Prime Minister has urged the European parliamentarians to take an active part in monitoring the pre-term elections to the Verkhovna Rada on October 26: "The Government is determined to ensure free, fair and transparent elections, and counts on the support of our European partners."

The Prime Minister has discussed with representatives of the European implementation the issue of the Association Agreement and the implementation of reforms. "Ukraine has a clear plan of strategic reforms contained in the Association Agreement with the European Union", the Prime Minister underlined.

MEPs have welcomed the recent adoption of anti-corruption legislation and the reform of the prosecution system. Arseniy Yatsenyuk has noted that the Government is going to carry out the justice and judicial system reforms in order to meet the European standards.
