Wednesday, January 28,
Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with representatives of the trade unions of coal mining
enterprises.
The
meeting has been also
attended by Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn and Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk has informed that he instructed the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine to create a conciliation commission on reforming the coal sector, which, in particular, is to deal with the social issues of miners.
A
commission will include officials from the relevant ministries, experts of
the National Energy Regulation
Commission, SE "Energorynok", SE
"Coal of
Ukraine", MPs and
representatives of the
trade unions.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk called on representatives of the trade unions to join
to the work of a conciliation commission and to submit their proposals on Monday, February 2.
The
Prime Minister has identified the issue of immediate
repayment of wage arrears to the miners for December 2014 as a priority for a conciliation commission.
