Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with US Treasury Secretary Joseph Jacob Lew.
Minister of Ukraine stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and the United States: "We believe that the USA is one of the strongest allies of Ukraine and American people support the Ukrainian people in the struggle for our independence and our future."
Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized that the Ukraine’s Government appreciates the decision of the US Cabinet to allocate additional $2 billion loan guarantee to support Ukrainian reforms: "We expect to see a comprehensive package of financial assistance, and the US is one of the key countries that provide this assistance."
"We are convinced that we need to focus on important reforms, particularly in the
energy sector, combating corruption, legal system. We rely on the support of the US government to speed up reforms that are necessary for Ukraine and that Ukrainian people are expecting," the Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed.

Secretary emphasized that his meetings in Kyiv demonstrated that the Prime Minister of Ukraine and the Government of Ukraine are ready
for taking difficult decisions that are necessary in order to implement reforms. He stressed the importance of continuing progress in these reforms.
