Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has instructed to develop a set of measures for warning the population in case of emergencies and to conduct civil defense trainings at educational institutions, enterprises and organizations. The PM told this at a visiting session of the State Emergency Commission in Zaporizhia on Monday, 2 February.

He stressed the need to find effective warning options.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed the need to sign relevant agreements with mobile operators, "to oblige them to provide information on civil defense and perform their warning function": "There is television, radio stations, including local. Still it is needed to supply a wire signal, as in case of an emergency a part of signal can be lost."

The Prime Minister instructed the Head of the State of Emergency Service Serhii Bochkovsky along with the Ministry of Education and Interior Ministry to immediately study the issue of civil defense trainings: "First of all, trainings must be conducted at schools, and then - at educational institutions, enterprises and organizations."

He emphasized the need for the widespread dissemination of "plain and simple infographics." "It's cheaper and more efficient. Infographics on the internet as well. People will not sit for hours and listen to lectures. Information should be brief, clear and primarily visual."
