The Government of Ukraine plans to reduce the number of officials by 20% this year. Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed in an interview with the program TSN. Tyzhden on 1 + 1channel on Sunday, February 15.

The Prime Minister said that last year 25 thousand officials had been fired.

This year, according to him, the Government also intends a significant decrease in the public service: "It is about a 20% reduction up to 50 thousand people."

"The idea is to reduce the number, but to increase the quality," he said.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized that, while reducing the number of officials, the payroll remains unchanged: "Anyone who works well, is able to work - will get more."
