Presently, the Government creates all the conditions to ensure
constructive cooperation with the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ukrainian
Parliament members to adopt the laws necessary for the implementation of the
Association Agreement. Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Hanna Onyshchenko announced at a round table discussion dedicated
to the state of readiness for signing the Association Agreement with the EU in
the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with the support of the EU delegation in Ukraine on
March 26, 2015.
In her speech, Hanna Onyshchenko thanked the EU
delegation in Ukraine for the constant support, coordination and expert
assistance.
"European integration is actually a long, complex and rather
technical process. The Government is responsible for drafting of the majority of
acts in the European integration area, then submitted to the Parliament. And we
are working hard in this direction", stressed the Minister.
Hanna Onyshchenko drew attention to the fact
that the process of harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with Acquis communautaire has been organized
at a high systematic level. Practically each session of the Government concerns
approving plans for the implementation of the EU acts, which provide a clear
roadmap for the ministries and agencies on the timing of drafting the acts and
the contents. By now there have been adopted 80 implementation plans compliant
with 120 EU legislation acts. Within the framework of the obligations under the
Association Agreement there should
be implemented over 350 acts of EU law, with 160 acts implemented in the next
three years.
Apart from that, the
Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers stressed that the Government Office for
European integration within the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers and
deputy ministers for European integration are open to cooperation and there are
no obstacles to the systematic work of the Government with the Verkhovna Rada committees,
the public and experts.
