Arseniy Yatsenyuk asserts high salaries for investigators engaged in the most important corruption cases

The Government of Ukraine will set high salaries for investigators engaged in the most important corruption cases. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk declared this in the program Fakty tuzhnia with Oksana Sokolova on ICTV channel.

The Prime Minister reminded that the possibility of increasing salaries for investigators had been discussed at an enlarged meeting of the Ministry of Internal Affairs this week: "An investigator receives a salary of UAH 2300. Will we really be able to successfully attract the whole gang to justice?"

He stressed that the Government would establish a "very high salaries for those investigators engaged in the most important cases": "I’ve found UAH30 thousand for each investigator who will actually fight against the corrupt mafia in the country. It’s impossible to provide everybody with everything at once - these will be only those investigators who will investigate the most important cases."

The Prime Minister emphasized that the fight against corruption - "a consistent daily work": "While the country is at war, while people are giving their pennies and financing the Armed Forces, National Guard - these monsters are stealing money. We have to combat this."
