Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed that all payments stipulated in the Law on State Budget for ATO participants, "should reach the people." He said this at a Government’s meeting on Tuesday, March 31.

"It is said that not all got the payment. Somewhere it is due to red tape, someone has failed to write a piece of paper. And we forget about human destiny behind these papers, as it is one of the key tasks for the state – the way a state treats its defenders causes the way people treat their state," the Prime Minister underlined.

He recalled that 35 thousand servicemen would return from the ATO zone soon: "We must attract the regional and district administrations. We should talk with people, ask them how we can help. Maximum contacts with their families."

The Prime Minister appealed to Chairman of the State Service for ATO Veterans and Participants Arthur Derevianko: "Now a lot depends on you. Everybody is at your disposal: Prime Minister, Ministers, all regional administrations. Your highest responsibility today is to provide those who up in arms defended Ukraine with the proper respect and support from the Ukrainian state and the Ukrainian government. It is our mutual duty."

In addition, Arseniy Yatsenyuk reminded that the Cabinet of Ministers had allocated funds for prosthetics of ATO soldiers abroad. The Prime Minister instructed the State Service for ATO Veterans and Participants jointly with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to check the program of government assistance for ATO participants’ prosthetics.
