Arseniy Yatsenyuk commissions Defence Ministry to report on implementation of defence order by Ukroboronprom

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk instructed to invite representatives of Ukroboronprom to hear their report on the supply of weapons and military equipment, meeting deadlines of delivery and repair of arms and equipment and application of funds allotted to Ukroboronprom enterprises. The Prime Minister informed at the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, April 15.

"We won’t deviate from the course of settlement and de-escalation of the situation in Donbas. Therefore, we will fight for peace in Ukraine by all means and tools. Also by enhancement of defense capacity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," he stressed.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the Government “finances everything necessary for the Armed Forces."

Arseniy Yatsenyuk appealed to the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak with a request to invite representatives of Ukroboronprom to report "about the state of military equipment and weapon supplies - as we have allotted funds worth billions". Apart from that, according to the Head of Government, they want to hear a report on compliance with schedules of deliveries of weapons and military equipment and its repair, for the works Ukroboronprom enterprises have already received funds.

"Diplomats feel more comfortable in negotiations, when national Armed Forces are strong and ready", added Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
