The Cabinet of
Ministers of Ukraine is making a decision on the termination of the agreement
on military-technical cooperation between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. Prime
Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk
stated this at a Government’s meeting on Wednesday, May 20.
He recalled that
the agreement was signed on 26 May, 1993.
"The Russian
Federation is an aggressor state. The
Russian Federation illegally annexed Crimea, perpetrated military aggression to the
territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The
Russian Federation poses a threat to the Ukrainian state and its territorial
integrity. Therefore,
the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine severs the agreement on military-technical
cooperation with Russia," Arseniy Yatsenyuk highlighted.
