"We have actually
lost 30 points in an improvement in investment attractiveness of Ukraine because
several times the Parliament didn’t support government initiatives," Prime
Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk
emphasized at a Government’s meeting on Wednesday, 27 May.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk has stressed that he is disappointed by the fact that
the Parliament of Ukraine once again didn’t adopt two bills aimed at improving Ukraine’s
Doing Business rank (the ease of doing business ranking).
The Prime
Minister has recalled that last year Ukraine’s Doing Business ranking was 16
points up, "This year we had an opportunity to improve it (Ukraine’s
ranking -ed.) by 30 points. But
due to the fact that the analysis will be conducted as of May, and the Parliament
did not back our initiatives, we have lost this opportunity."
"This is just
unacceptable. And
there is no motivation in voting down - neither economic nor political," Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed.
