The task of the Government of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service is to solve all the technical issues to obtain a visa-free regime in 2016, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk noted during a transfer ceremony of technical assistance and equipment from the European Union to Ukrainian border guards on June 15.

He said that one of the tasks of the State Border Guard Service will involve the unification of our control e-systems with Interpols network. This is necessary in order to quickly check any citizen crossing Ukraine's state border with a database to ascertain if an individual is wanted by Interpol, which must be achieved by September.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk has said that in September 49 border checkpoints have to be connected with the Interpols control system and persons identification.

"The task of the State Border Guard Service is to settle technical issues for Ukraine to obtain a visa-free regime. I am confident that the State Border Guard Service will cope with this task," the Prime Minister emphasized.

During the visit to the military camp of a mobile border detachment of the State Border Guard Service, the PM has been demonstrated the latest models of automated border control and satellite communication systems, including mobile software and hardware automation complexes of border control.

16 such complexes have been already purchased for the second line of control by any documents, primarily by biometric passports issued both by Ukraine and other countries. "It also will enable Ukraine to move forward on the issue of visa-free regime," the Prime Minister stressed.

He thanked the soldiers of the State Border Guard Service as they are defending Ukraine in the area of anti-terrorist operation. "Your struggle, victory and your will have proved that Ukrainian border guards are able to defend the state border of Ukraine. You give your lives for the country. You fight for our independence, for which I extend special thanks to you," Arseniy Yatsenyuk said.
