The owners of BRSM-Nafta have to compensate the losses made to the state caused by the fire at its oil depot near Kyiv. Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated this at a meeting of the State commission for ecological safety, man-made disasters and emergencies on June 15.

He has instructed the Prosecutor General's Office along with the Justice Ministry to prepare a relevant civil claim to compensate the total amount of losses made to the state in connection with the illegal activities of BRSM-Nafta owners, which resulted in a fire and making damage to the state in the amount determined by appropriate forensics.

In addition, Arseniy Yatsenyuk has ordered to prepare a plan for elimination of the environmental outcomes of the fire.

In his turn, Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Mykola Chechotkin reported that the amount of losses caused by the BRSM-Nafta fire makes up about UAH50 million, including reimbursement to the families of victims.
