On Saturday, June
20, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with U.S. Senator, Chairman of the Committee
on Armed Services John McCain.
The Prime Minister reminded about
the yesterday's statements by President Vladimir Putin concerning Ukraine and
the war, waged against our country, "Putin is an aggressor. And
Russia has to pay the price for the illegal annexation of Crimea and invasion
into Donetsk and Luhansk. Russia
should act as permanent member state of the UN Security Council and not violate
international law and not to endanger the whole world."
"We are different people and
different states," he stressed.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk said that the U.S. is "the international
leader in the fight for Ukraine’s independence": "We appreciate this
and count on your support."
