Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with Canadian Minister of National Defense and for Multiculturalism Jason Kenney

On Friday, June 26, Prime Minister of Ukraine, Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with Canadian Minister of National Defence and for Multiculturalism Jason Kenney.

During the meeting the sides discussed the active collaboration between Ukraine and Canada in the field of defense, military cooperation and the involvement of Canadian experience and capabilities in the process of security sector reform in Ukraine.

Arseniy Yatseniuk has highly assessed the great support of Canada in protecting the independence, security and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Exceptional solidarity being demonstrated by Ottawa at the political level, on economic cooperation and in practical and tangible security cooperation, including training of Ukrainian servicemen and exchange of experience, is evidence of the reliability of our partnership, its great potential and prospect, Arseniy Yatsenyuk underlined.

The two sides discussed a wide range of interaction issues. In particular, it was about the international respond to Russian aggression, which poses a direct threat to the regional and world peace and security. The conversation also dealt with practical issues of military-technical cooperation, as well as attraction of foreign investments.

The participants of the meeting touched on cultural and humanitarian issues, noting the profound relationship of the two countries and mutual readiness to develop Ukraine-Canada cultural dialogue.
