"Oschadbank of Ukraine has filed a
lawsuit worth about UAH15 billion against the Russian Federation to compensate
the damages caused by the Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea, and the
consequent losses by Oschadbank of revenue and
property in the Ukrainian territory, which the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is," Prime Minister of
Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk said
at a government meeting on Wednesday, July 8.
The Prime Minister appealed to all other Ukrainian state-owned companies to
follow the example of Oschadbank of Ukraine
"to make
Russia accountable and recover damages for the illegal annexation of Crimea, as
well as for the temporary loss of Ukrainian property."
