"We have created
a central executive body - the National Police of Ukraine. We
eliminate all the territorial departments of the Interior Ministry, and instead
we create territorial units of the National Police," Prime Minister of
Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated
at the government meeting on Wednesday, 16 September.
He appealed to
law enforcement workers, former militiamen: "Each of you can become a
Ukrainian police officer. And
each of you can have the same relationship to itself, as police officers have in
many cities of Ukraine. Everything hinges
on you. Nobody
is to be kicked out."
"We appeal
to those who want to work for the benefit of their country and serve the oath. You
need to pass tests, trainings and change your attitude towards citizens as well
as to service. This
means that with the new mindset, new knowledge and education you can and should
get a job in the new National Police of Ukraine," said Arseniy
Yatsenyuk.
