"If
someone thinks that Russia has stopped, if someone thinks that the war is
over - no. Now Russia has switched the attention of the world to Syria, to
the situation with Turkey", explained Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
He said he
considers it "part of a Russian plan": "To make Ukraine drop off the core
geopolitical radars – it
was Putin's task. And then the creeping expansion to continue capturing
Ukraine. Both through a military operation that has not been removed from the
agenda, as dozens thousands of Russian gangsters and terrorists are still
deployed in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and through the political
destabilization inside Ukraine".
"Everyone
keeps in mind Ukraine as it was ten years ago. The relationship between the
President and the Prime Minister, within the ruling coalition. In fact, some
of the players in this political standoff remained today in Ukrainian
politics. Therefore we have no right to give way, first of all, to the
internal political destabilization, the squabbles that destroy the
state", urged Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
The Head of
Government emphasized that the Russian plan on making Ukraine disappearing
from the public view could have happened to be: "But, recent visits of
our European partners and in the first place a visit of Vice President of the
United States of America Joe Biden are clear signals that Ukraine has been and
still remains a principal
partner for the West, so
nobody will shut
their eyes to Russia and nobody will be negotiating backdoor about
the future of Ukraine with Russia".
"It's
about the values of the free world," he said.
The Prime
Minister also stressed the importance of "Russia being aware that the
national security and defence of Ukraine is financed,
we are rebuilding the army".
