Arseniy Yatsenyuk says Gov't to introduce countersanctions against Russia

"Ukraine has already prepared an adequate response, countersanctions against the Russian Federation as to both the trade embargo and the suspension of the agreement on a free trade zone within the CIS between Ukraine and the Russian Federation," Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk at a press conference on the 2015 results, on Tuesday, 29 December.

"The Russian regime, as expected, introduces sanctions against Ukraine due to our European choice," emphasised the Prime Minister.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk noted that other CIS member stated haven’t yet declared their position on the suspension of the agreement: "But the Government of Ukraine will take a decision on the introduction of counter measures against the Russian Federation after President’s signing amendments to the Law of Ukraine on foreign economic activity."
