On May 18,
Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion had
a meeting with Director of the Energy Community Secretariat Janez Kopač.
The meeting was dedicated to considering
a reform of the natural gas market of Ukraine. Peculiar
attention was paid to the restructuring of PJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine
that envisages for the separation of functions
in transportation and distribution of gas which is
the requirement for our country according to
the Third Energy Package.
During the conversation, Mr. Kopač
noted that the Energy Community staff was
paying much attention to Ukraine’s issues.
Volodymyr Kistion,
in turn, expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation and assured that the
Government was resolute to exert maximum efforts to
ensure the implementation of international commitments of Ukraine in
the energy sphere.
