In August, the core activities of the Cabinet of Ministers are
focused on the elaboration of a package of government bills for the second
session of the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation, which, after the vacation,
will open on 6 September.
This was announced by Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleksandr Saienko, who, on commission
of the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, is coordinating this work.
Among the most important issues are
economic development, the preparation of the draft State Budget, a tax reform,
reform of customs. The Government is also engaged in the preparing of decisions
to prolong decentralization, to introduce a Strategy of public administration, a
health care reform, reforms in energy and transport, the social sphere and education.
“Intensive joint action of the Verkhovna Rada and the
Cabinet of Ministers in autumn will be crucial to give a new impetus to reforms
in Ukraine”, said the Minister.
According to Olexander Saienko, the Prime Minister set to each Minister peculiar
tasks, but given the summer period he gave everyone the opportunity to take short
vacation, mainly 5-10 days, provided that the relevant work in the ministries
will be intensive.
This week, the ministries are due to host discussion of
relevant elaborated solutions and by late August these bills will be submitted
and approved at the sessions of the Cabinet of Ministers.
