On Thursday, August 25, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr
Groysman met with leaders of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC). The parties discussed and agreed
on the agenda of bilateral cooperation, as well as practical measures called to
deepen interaction. The participants of the meeting arranged to update the
Memorandum of cooperation between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Ukrainian World Congress and to sign
it in late September.
The Prime Minister thanked representatives of the Ukrainian World Congress for
the support for Ukraine and massive humanitarian assistance.
"Your
role, the role of the Ukrainian World Congress, is vital. In the most difficult
time you are always there trying to support and help, to consolidate the whole
world around Ukraine", said the Prime Minister.
The Prime
Minister spoke in favor of intensifying practical collaboration. In particular,
the Prime Minister supported the initiative to renew the existing Memorandum of
cooperation between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the UWC.
"It is
important to prolong our cooperation. I would like to make the next 25 years of
our independence successful, but the blocks of this success are being built
just now, and we will do it together", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.
The Prime
Minister stressed that among the top priorities for the Government is
development of the national economy. According to him, products of Ukrainian
origin should enter new markets. In this context, Volodymyr Groysman invited
the representatives of the Ukrainian World Congress to cooperate, in particular
with trade missions of Ukraine abroad, whose work is being restored.
Among
significant lines for consolidation of efforts are also culture issues,
accentuated the Prime Minister. Volodymyr Groysman supports the creation and
development of cultural centers of Ukraine. The interlocutors also discussed
maintaining of Ukraine's image abroad and countering the spread of
misinformation.
The participants
noted the necessity to consolidate the action on the way towards European
integration of Ukraine.
