Currency exchange rate fluctuations are completely seasonal in nature. The National Bank of Ukraine possesses enough tools and will take every measure to stabilize the situation. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during a meeting with journalists while visiting Chernihiv Higher Vocational School of Consumer Services.

"I think that currency fluctuations bear seasonal nature. There were carried out a lot of payments, that is, the pressure on the national currency was increased during this period, including holidays, when a downturn occurs, and this is logical", commented Volodymyr Groysman in answering a question regarding the reasons for the fluctuations in currency exchange rates.

The Prime Minister told that he had talked the day before with Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine, "and she assured that the National Bank of Ukraine will do the utmost to avoid any speculative fluctuations and the situation will be settled".

The foreign exchange reserves are sufficient to ensure the situation be normal and the rate remain within the predicted frames, said the Head of Government. "Therefore, these fluctuations must cease. If currency intervention necessary, the National Bank will undertake it, as I understand. I believe that the National Bank has enough financial instruments to stabilize the situation", stressed the Head of Government.

He noticed that some interested politicians "wanted to fuel panic amid growth of dollar exchange".
