Vocational
education and the real economy sector in Ukraine must work in synergy. This was
stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman in his communication
with the entrepreneurs of Zhytomyr region in the framework of his working trip.
While
discussing the possibility of expanding cooperation between businesses and
vocational training institutions, the Prime Minister fully supported this idea.
"If we
teach children independently, and the real sector works independently, they
will never meet. We should prevent such situations when young person receives
education at a vocational institution, and then comes to work to a plant, looks
at the equipment, and asks: "What is this?" and you begin retraining
him. We need education and real sector meet and make them work in cooperation.
I fully support that", he stressed.
The Prime
Minister reminded that the Government had elaborated a project of upgrading the
training programmes for three specialties: "Tractor driver/ machine
operator in agricultural production", "Assembler of
sanitary-engineering systems and equipment", "Seamstress. Tailor.
Fitter".
"Education,
especially [training] of highly skilled industrial workers, is a huge challenge
for us. But the Government won’t succeed doing it alone – here we need
partnership with the real economy sector in staff training. It is also our
priority", said Volodymyr Groysman.
In Zhytomyr
region Prime Minister visited the enterprise manufacturing consumer goods Eurogold
Industries Ltd and talked to businessmen about new investment projects of
companies with foreign investments wishing to work in Ukraine.
Zhytomyr
mayor Serhii Sukhomlyn told about the process of establishing the Industrial
Park Zhytomyr-East and plans to expand it. Volodymyr Groysman commended the
measures taken and urged to intensify activities in this direction.
