Great Britain has been and remains an important strategic partner of
Ukraine and both countries have a great potential for the development of
political and economic cooperation. This was stated by Prime Minister of
Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman
on the outcomes of the meeting with Prime Minister of Great Britain Theresa May
which was held in the framework of the Prime Minister’s official visit to the
United Kingdom of Great Britain.
«We had a good conversation. We discussed the entire spectrum of security
and defense issues, inter alia questions pertaining to the support for reforms
and deepening cooperation. Great Britain is the principal strategic partner who
has never changed positions and supported Ukraine in all its aspirations. There
is a clear position on the territorial integrity of Ukraine, condemning
aggression and supporting sanction policy», emphasized the Prime Minister.
Moreover, Volodymyr Groysman
noted that the parties touched upon the issue of a large economic forum which
will be held on July 6. The Head of Government expressed gratitude to the
British Prime Minister Theresa May and Secretary of State for Foreign and
Commonwealth Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain Boris Johnson for
the assistance in the organization of the said forum.
