Canada have opened a new page of bilateral cooperation due to the
implementation of the Free Trade Agreement and the realization of significant
economic opportunities. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced
during a meeting with Minister
of Foreign Affairs of Canada Chrystia Freeland. The meeting was held on the margins of the International Ukraine Reform Conference,
held today, July 6, in London.
"Canada is a
good friend of Ukraine, and Ukraine is a friend of Canada. We could enter a new
page of our bilateral relations, and now we have high hopes for our further
cooperation. We feel this friendship, we highly appreciate it. Your position is
extremely important, we have been and will remain reliable partners",
Volodymyr Groysman stressed and thanked the Government of Canada, Prime
Minister Justin Trudeau and Minister Chrystia Freeland for their continued support.
In turn, Chrystia Freeland emphasized that Canada sees great
potential for bilateral cooperation of two countries in the economic sphere.
"We are very pleased to see the success of Ukraine and proud we can
support Ukraine. We see huge potential in the economic sphere and we really
believe that our trade agreement and all the reforms that you are pursuing will
open up real opportunities for our cooperation", she said.
