The main focus of civil service reform, launched in 2014 and widely implemented in May of 2016, is to bring new people to executive authorities, new people capable of embodying the change and truly devoted to serving the country. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during an international conference "Public Administration in Ukraine: Assessing the State of Affairs, Achievements and Challenges".

The Head of Government stressed that until recently the civil service used to be one of the most conservative and closed systems. Instead, fundamental changes would not have been possible without proper quality of administration.

"It is our commitment to build a strong country," the Head of Government said, "Therefore, we are facing two challenges: to create a new system of public administration and to bring those capable of embodying the change, those devoted to serving the State and capable of providing quality services".

The Prime Minister thanked Ukraine's partners and experts for supporting the reform of public administration. "We have to make progress on this path. I want to reassure I have been and will remain a supporter and advocate of changes, and I will keep the lead in this reform", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.
