On Thursday, September 25, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with the Ukrainian community in the United States in New York, where the Head of Government stays on a working visit.

"Ukraine is facing huge challenges, but on the other hand - opportunities as well," said the Head of Government.

"We have signed an Association and FTA Agreement with the EU. We are a part of the European family. It will be a difficult way, as people expect quick and qualitative changes and reforms," he said.

The obstacle on this way is the Russian aggression, said Arseniy Yatsenyuk, "It is aggression. And it is war, which was unleashed by Russia against Ukraine. Russia and its president have violated everything they could – starting from the UN Charter and ending with a number of international obligations".

"The National Anthem of Ukraine contains the following lines - "Souls and bodies we'll lay down, all for our freedom". And we are paying for our independence an enormous price, but, actually, it is priceless - Ukrainians have lost their lives in a struggle against Russian aggression. We are paying for our freedom, liberty and the European choice. And we will gain the victory in this fight".

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the support demonstrated by the Ukrainian community in the United States. He stressed that the Ukrainian Government commends the support of the U.S. administration, personally U.S. President and Congress of the United States.

"We believe that we will succeed. We rely on your support, on the inexhaustible energy of the Ukrainian people - the energy to win, to succeed and to be the best country in the world," said Arseniy Yatsenyuk
