Prime
Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed the need of lustration checks of candidates for deputy ministers, heads of central executive bodies, state-owned and joint stock companies, he stated this at the first meeting of the newly appointed Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Wednesday, December 3.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk addressed the
Ministers, recalling
that in accordance with the
adopted Law of Ukraine "On cleaning power": "Ministers as well as all candidates for deputy ministers, heads of central executive authorities, public companies, corporations and other entities within the competence of the Government shall come under lustration checks."
"Every Minister has full authority in the Ministry as well as full responsibility. You are selecting your deputies, as well as managers. The Parliament demands me, I demand you. And the Ukrainian people demands us," the Prime Minister underlined.
The
Prime Minister also asked Minister of
Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn to inform the public about measures undertaken to overcome the consequences caused by the accident at a Zaporizhia NPP’s unit and to restore power supply.
