The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Friday adopted
a decree "On signing the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of
Ukraine and the Government of the Turkish Republic on amendments to the
Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the
Turkish Republic on conditions of mutual trips of citizens".
Pursuant to the document, travelers from both
countries can be entering, leaving and staying for 90 days on the territory of
the countries-signatories to the Agreement without usual foreign passports but having
an ID-card containing electronic data storage device.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said that
following week he would pay a working visit to the Republic of Turkey.
"During this visit we are planning to sign a
joint document with our Turkish partners, which stipulates for conditions of
travel to Turkey with electronic identity cards instead of foreign passports.
This opens up new opportunities increasing convenience of tourists", said
"The good news for Ukrainian citizens who travel
to Turkey", he said.
