On February 12-13, in Tbilisi (Georgia), a regular meeting of the EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly took place, during which the second meeting of the ad hoc working group on the implementation of Association Agreements between the EU and Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova was held.

Parliament members of the EUROSNEST countries that signed the Association Agreements with the EU were able to meet and exchange views on the opportunities and challenges of each of the countries in the context of the implementation of the Association Agreements and the DCFTA functioning.

In particular, the General Director informed about the up-to-date progress of the EU-UA Association Agreement implementation. "Due to the fact that we have established the horizontal principles of functioning of the economy in Ukraine and started doing business in accordance with the obligations under the Agreement, we took over the best practices of the EU," Olga Stefanishyna said.

The positive effect of the DCFTA, that is for two years for now, indicates Ukraine's readiness to fully use all opportunities within the framework of the Agreement. As for now, the Government, along with the Parliament, is working on the adoption of the necessary legislation, in particular in the field of customs policy, intellectual property, technical regulation.
