Since the beginning of the year there have been registered in
Ukraine more than 50 thousand new entrepreneurs, announced Prime Minister of
Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during his conversation with journalists at PJSC
"FED" in Kharkiv.
"We can observe today quite positive dynamics in the
first two months regarding payment of the minimum wage, a 16% decrease in unemployment
rate and a 47% increase in number of vacancies opened in Ukraine. In
particular, we have a record of 27 thousand economically active entrepreneurs
taking January data. For 21 days of February we fix a growth by 27 thousand
entrepreneurs. The economy is growing, this means that we have laid rather good
basis", stressed the Prime Minister.
He noted that 91% of those businesses that terminated their
activities after raising the minimum wage, had not engage in any economic
activity and failed to pay taxes.
The Head of Government highlighted that Ukraine's economy in
the 4th quarter of 2016 had showed a fairly good signal of growth at 4.7%.
"This means that Ukraine will manufacture more goods, number of jobs will grow,
wages will improve and the economy will both produce the national product and strengthen
our economic and financial independence. This is the only way to bring the
country out of the crisis", underscored Volodymyr Groysman.
