Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman initiates the establishment of a group of specialists to ensure qualitative changes be introduced in the upgraded health care system developed by the Government and approved by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The Head of Government announced in his video address.

He thanked the President of Ukraine, the leaders and members of the largest factions of the Parliament, non-parliamentary deputies who cast their vote for the start of the medical reform and reshaping of the system that for decades had been "friendly neither for doctors nor for patients."

According to Volodymyr Groysman, among the key pillars of the reform are the availability of quality medical services at all levels - from medical and obstetrical station to out-patient hospitals and specialized institutions, sufficient financing of the sector, and the introduction of decent wages for doctors.

This is the set of measures, which together with the modernization of equipment will make it possible to change the quality of health care,” said Volodymyr Groysman, “We are now up to setting up a project implementation group, in which we will gather both parties - MPs and doctors – to trigger quality changes. I am well aware how hard and responsible it is, but I'm committed to assume the responsibility. This autumn we have succeeded with approval of an education and pension reforms, and now – the reform of healthcare. We embark on the implementation of the reforms. And we will see that these reforms improve the quality of lives of Ukrainian citizens."
