SERVICE OF VICE PRIME MINISTER OF UKRAINE

We plan to launch deliveries of gas to Avdiyivka before the new year. By the end of year, the construction of the supplying pipeline to Avdiyivka from the village of Ocheretyne should be completed. Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services Hennadii Zubko, who, in the framework of a working visit to Donetsk region, visited the construction site of the facility.

In June of this year, 20,000 residents of Avdiyivka and settlements of Yasynuvata area through the shelling by the Russian terrorists as a result of the accident on the main gas pipeline were left without gas supply.

A decision was taken to provide the maximum alternative energy deliveries to the town of Avdiyivka. To resolve the situation, a project for the construction of the supplying gas pipeline was developed. The gas pipeline to Avdiyivka is being built bypassing the temporarily occupied territory over 14 km long.

Now we engage in providing uninterrupted supplies of gas to the population. A problem still remains in Krasnogorivka and Maryinka, but we already have an example of a professional approach to design and providing equipment, construction norms," stressed Hennadii Zubko.

"Restoration of Donbas, its infrastructure, life support systems are included in key priorities in the Government activities, thus proving the fact the region occupies a special place and is important being an integral part of the whole economic system of Ukraine. Among the priorities is to provide primary assistance to those who have suffered as a result of hostilities. Therefore, the issues of functioning of life support systems, social protection and others are solved on the spot, and to the extent possible", summed up Hennadii Zubko.
