On February 13, Volodymyr Omelyan, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, chaired a meeting of the Ukrainian part of a joint Ukrainian-German working group on the consideration and selection of projects to be financed from KfW loan. Representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure, PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia, State Enterprise USPA, Kyiv City State Administration, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Ministry of Finance, Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs attended the meeting.

The Ukrainian side has determined that 150 million euros KfW's German government loan will be spent on infrastructure projects.

"We have three priority projects – completion of the reconstruction of the railroad bridge over the Dnipro River in Kyiv, the modernization and renewal of the rolling stock of Ukrzaliznytsia, the construction of a breakwater and dredging of the water area in Odessa port", Volodymyr Omelyan stressed.

"We proceed from the priority. The completion of the bridge is necessary for Kyiv, and I hope that the German side will support this project. Updating and modernization of the rolling stock is the priority for Ukrzaliznytsia, this is economically reasoned", stressed Volodymyr Omelyan.

According to the results of the meeting, the proposals will be sent to the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Regional Development, Building and Housing of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko with further approval by the German side.
