On January 22, Vice
Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and
Utilities Hennadii Zubko
and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of
Germany to Ukraine Christof Weil will jointly visit
the campus for the internally displaced persons in Kharkiv. They agreed on this
during a meeting on Thursday, January 15 in Kyiv.
The parties also
considered a number of issues on further cooperation between Ukraine and Germany,
as well as the progress of the decentralization process in Ukraine.
Commenting on the
recent visit of the Prime Minister of Ukraine to the Federal Republic of
Germany, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary noted that the will of
the Ukrainian government and Ukrainian people to the reforms had created a
great impression on the German Side. He also stressed the importance of the
fact that Ukraine had embarked on finance decentralization.
Hennadii Zubko said that
following the approval of the amendments to the Budget and Tax codes regarding
financial decentralization and forming on their basis of the state budget for
2015, it is important today to carry out relevant information policy in all the
locations in order to convey to each community the new opportunities for their
development.
Apart from that, the
interlocutors touched upon changes to the Constitution of Ukraine, a judicial
reform and activity of the Ukrainian-German High-Level Working Group on Economic Issues, the chairman of the Ukrainian part of which
has been recently approved Vice Prime Minister Hennadii
Zubko.
